Oldest recorded evidence of genus ‘Homo’

n the March 4 online issue of the journal Science, Brian Villmoare and his team of anthropologists published a study of a fossilized jawbone unearthed in Ethiopia. This fossil, dating to 2.8 million years ago, is the oldest recorded evidence of the genus Homo, which has both human and ape-like features.
